Treefera has secured $30 million in Series B funding, just 11 months after its Series A round. Notion Capital led the financing, with continued support from AlbionVC, Triple Point and Twin Path Ventures; Endeit Capital is expected to join shortly. The raise reportedly lifts Treefera’s post-money valuation, although the exact figure was not disclosed.

The London-based startup says the quick follow-up round signals clear investor conviction in its model for bringing first-mile transparency to global supply chains.

Why first-mile visibility matters

Commodity-heavy sectors—agriculture, energy, pharma and forestry among them—depend on data from remote farms and forests that is often patchy or outdated.

Over 60 percent of supply-chain risk originates in this “first mile,” yet it remains the least transparent. Treefera stitches together satellite imagery, machine-learning models and financial-grade risk analysis to turn that raw material into real-time intelligence buyers can trust.

"Our world runs on nature-based commodities, yet information on the physical source of these assets remains largely invisible to the systems that depend on them. Data informs the flow of capital, and at Treefera we equip enterprises with the clarity to strengthen supply chain resilience, secure future revenue, and scale the upside of regenerative practices. With defensible real-time insights on commodities, ingredients and carbon from the first-mile, businesses can not only have clearer sightlines into sourcing, but mitigate risk and ensure compliance. This backing led by Notion Capital enables us to accelerate our mission globally for the benefit of business and planet."

Where the new money will go

Treefera plans to expand in North America, Asia-Pacific and Europe, doubling its headcount in product and data science. The fresh capital will also fund real-time commodity tracking, richer geospatial analytics and automated compliance tools, features the company says customers are already requesting.

A second priority is scaling its decentralised, power-efficient AI infrastructure. Treefera argues that lower compute costs—and therefore a lighter carbon footprint—will help customers hit climate-reporting targets without blowing through IT budgets.

Roots of an ai-powered supply-chain startup

Founded in 2022 by husband-and-wife team Jonathan Horn and Caroline Grey, Treefera set out to give corporates the same sightlines into farms and forests that finance has enjoyed for listed assets. The platform ingests high-resolution satellite images, enterprise resource-planning feeds and public records, normalising them into what it calls a “supply-chain data fabric.”

Early adopters span energy majors, global insurers and agricultural multinationals.

By offering a single dashboard for origin, flow and carbon data, Treefera says customers can validate projects faster and cut compliance work that once took weeks down to days.

Treefera’s board includes chair Alison Kay, former Global Vice Chair at EY, and CTO Dr. Nathan Ferguson, an ex-DeepMind engineer.

“What makes Treefera exceptional is their ability to translate massive supply chain datasets into actionable climate insights. Their unique methodology aligns strongly with our investment focus on climate tech, and we're proud to partner with them in their mission to provide enterprises with AI-powered supply chain transparency and decarbonization solutions,”

Who’s backing treefera—and why

London-based Notion Capital led the $30 million Series B, joined by returning investors AlbionVC, Triple Point and Twin Path Ventures, with climate-tech investor Endeit Capital slated to join imminently; together, the syndicate is betting that first-mile transparency will become essential as supply-chain risk and carbon-reporting rules tighten worldwide.

"Treefera’s team has built a category-defining platform at the intersection of AI, data, and supply chain transparency. In less than a year, Treefera has established itself as the trusted partner for enterprises navigating supply chain risks and carbon obligations. We are thrilled to be leading this round and support their vision to make resilient, decarbonised supply chains the global standard, underpinned by an approach that champions efficiency without compromise."
