Cynomi, the Tel Aviv-based provider of AI-powered virtual Chief Information Security Officer (vCISO) platforms, has closed a $37 million Series B funding round. The investment was co-led by Insight Partners and Entrée Capital, with additional participation from returning investors Canaan, Flint Capital, and S16VC.
The funding will support Cynomi’s continued product development and global expansion. The company—already serving MSPs, MSSPs, consultancies, and telcos—plans to extend its services to more types of providers, including integrators and resellers.
The vCISO space is seeing increased demand, driven by the need for scalable, automated security and compliance solutions. Cynomi, whose platform helps reduce manual cybersecurity work by up to 70%, is positioning itself as a core technology partner for service providers navigating this shift.
“With Cynomi, we have cut our cybersecurity management time and human capital needs by 50%. Thanks to this efficiency, we've doubled our customer base, and achieved 100% adoption among our GRC customers.”
Chad Fullerton, VP of Information Security at ECI, a NYC-based MSP
Cynomi plans to use the new capital to advance its agentic AI capabilities, making the platform even more useful for service providers managing complex compliance and security demands. The company aims to equip providers with tools that allow for higher productivity, improved client outcomes, and more efficient service delivery.
In parallel, Cynomi will expand its sales team across the U.S. and further its reach throughout Europe. These moves support its broader mission to help service providers scale their cybersecurity services in a rapidly evolving market.
Founded in 2020, Cynomi has grown rapidly, achieving 3x ARR growth in 2024 following a 4.5x jump the year before. The company was launched with a simple vision: every business, regardless of size, deserves access to a capable CISO. Today, Cynomi’s AI-powered platform enables MSPs and MSSPs to deliver enterprise-grade cybersecurity services without the overhead.
With offices in Israel, the UK, and the U.S., Cynomi continues to grow its international presence. Its vCISO platform supports thousands of companies via hundreds of service providers around the world.
More than just a product company, Cynomi also supports the cybersecurity ecosystem through its vCISO Academy and Directory—resources aimed at building knowledge and visibility across the industry.
Philine Huizing, Managing Director at Insight Partners, commented on the investment: “Cynomi’s innovative platform and user-centric approach... combined with strong early momentum and customer love, position Cynomi as a clear standout in the cybersecurity market.”
Insight Partners is a global software investor with more than $90B in assets under management and over 800 companies backed. Entrée Capital, another co-lead in the round, is a Tel Aviv-based firm with over $1.25B under management and a portfolio including monday.com, Deliveroo, and Glovo.
