Browser Use has raised $17 million in seed funding to accelerate its mission: enabling AI agents to navigate the internet like humans—but faster, more reliably, and without a mouse click in sight.
The round was led by Felicis Ventures and joined by A Capital, Nexus Venture Partners, Y Combinator, SV Angel, Pioneer Fund, Paul Graham, Liquid2, and several other notable backers. The company did not disclose its valuation.
What began as a weekend project quickly turned into one of the fastest-growing open-source AI tools. In just four days, the Browser Use team built a prototype that let large language models (LLMs) interact with the web.
A post on Hacker News sparked an overwhelming response, confirming the need for a new way to automate online tasks.
Today, that early experiment has grown into a full-fledged platform with over 50,000 GitHub stars and 15,000+ active developers using it for tasks like login automation, data scraping, QA testing, and CRM integration.
The internet may be a goldmine of data, but interacting with it remains stubbornly manual—clicking, typing, and navigating through websites. Browser Use is tackling this problem by designing infrastructure that allows AI agents to operate online as fluently as humans.
