Australian manufacturing efficiency software company OFS has unveiled Mayvn AI, a first-of-its-kind platform that blends generative AI with real-time manufacturing data. Developed in Australia and trialled by iconic U.S. confectionery brand Tootsie Roll, this new solution could unlock hundreds of millions of dollars in savings for the manufacturing industry. It achieves this by providing immediate insights that tighten the connection between C-suite executives and on-the-ground operational teams.
Mayvn AI offers a real-time snapshot of what’s happening on the factory floor—from spotting bottlenecks that delay production to preparing a business case for capital investments.
By giving leaders a clear, data-based reason to address issues, the software aims to bridge the gap between strategic decision-making and frontline execution.
One of the most notable early adopters has been Tootsie Roll Industries, a company synonymous with American confectionery. During the pilot, Tootsie Roll managed to cut certain data-heavy processes by more than 90 per cent.

Eric Bader adds that the tool has proven useful at all levels of the organization, from the COO to VPs and the factory floor, speeding up access to actionable data and prompting teams to dive deeper into challenges.
OFS CEO James Magee explains that modern manufacturing leaders are constantly inundated with information across multiple disciplines—finance, operations, supply chain, compliance, and more—yet remain “time-poor.” They must make quick, high-stakes decisions but often lack full visibility into daily factory operations.

Mayvn AI tackles this by acting like a highly accessible advisor. An executive can ask Mayvn which areas need attention based on the latest performance data, then walk into the factory prepared to discuss real issues with real people—like how a faulty flow wrapper is affecting production, or whether the ROI justifies buying a new machine.
Magee underscores how AI innovations like Mayvn AI will help push forward the Government’s Future Made in Australia plan, aiming to reinvigorate local manufacturing sectors such as renewable energy, industrial innovation, and technology. He notes that large-scale manufacturing progress can only succeed with cutting-edge tools and full alignment from the top floor to the factory floor.
