Tines, a provider of AI-driven workflow solutions, has secured $125 million in new Series C funding, pushing the company’s valuation to $1.125 billion. Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives led the round, joined by SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Activant, and existing backers like Accel, Felicis, CrowdStrike Falcon Fund, and Addition.

The new financing follows a May 2024 extension of Tines’ Series B, bringing the company’s total capital raised to $272 million. Tines’ platform automates more than one billion actions every week for global customers such as Coinbase, Databricks, GitLab, and Mars—underscoring the growing demand for streamlined, secure business workflows.

AI-powered efficiency for enterprise operations

Tines focuses on empowering teams to build, run, and monitor complex workflows that reduce manual workloads and minimize risk.

“IT and security teams continue to face a deluge of manual and tedious tasks, and too often traditional automation tools further weigh them down instead of lifting them up. By connecting people to the AI, data and systems they need to do their best work, the opportunity before us at Tines is to become the universal orchestrator of modern, secure workflows across the enterprise. This new round will help us realize that opportunity.”

A closer look at Tines’ AI roadmap

The latest funding will propel development of Tines’ native AI tools, including Workbench—a generative AI chat interface designed to help users seamlessly gather and analyze information, take real-time action on data across multiple applications, and determine next steps. Tines’ primary goal is to connect large language models and AI software with the data and systems companies need to function at optimal capacity.

Additionally, Tines aims to maintain privacy and compliance standards, ensuring enterprise-grade security for every automated workflow. By delivering robust governance and protection measures, the company hopes to drive broader AI adoption without compromising sensitive data.

A company with global ambitions

Tines was founded in 2018 and is co-headquartered in Dublin and Boston. The company’s leadership—guided by CEO Eoin Hinchy—has steadily focused on building technology that empowers businesses to stay agile, efficient, and protected. Among its customers are notable names in finance, technology, manufacturing, and beyond.

Tines’ approach stands out by enabling rapid, user-driven workflow creation. It gives teams the power to automate without heavy coding or reliance on multiple external platforms. This flexibility has helped Tines gain traction across industries and remain adaptable to evolving enterprise needs.

Trusted backing and ongoing expansion

In addition to Goldman Sachs, SoftBank, Activant, and others, investors such as Accel, Felicis, CrowdStrike Falcon Fund, and Addition have supported Tines’ journey.

“Since its founding in 2018, Tines has demonstrated exceptional growth by staying laser-focused on delivering tangible value to customers and building solutions tailored to their evolving needs. We are excited to partner with the Tines team as they execute on their vision, pushing the boundaries of automation, and bringing best-in-class workflow orchestration solutions to the entire enterprise.”

This Series C follows a steady track record of funding milestones, including a $50 million Series B extension last year. Goldman Sachs, which invests in a broad range of private and public companies worldwide, contributes to Tines’ ongoing plan to develop advanced workflows and AI tools. As Tines continues to expand, the backing from this diverse group of investors positions the company to further refine its core platform and scale its operations globally.
