Qount, an AI-powered practice management platform for accountants and tax professionals, has raised $17 million in a funding round led by Savant Growth. The round also included participation from Kennet Partners and a sizable co-investment from Qount’s new leadership team.
The fresh capital will enable Qount to accelerate its AI-driven automation efforts in tax and accounting management.
Accounting and tax professionals increasingly rely on AI-powered tools to streamline operations and improve efficiency. Qount’s cloud-based platform integrates key functions, such as CRM, onboarding, collaboration, document management, workflows, e-signatures, payments, and billing, into a single comprehensive system.
“Qount’s comprehensive suite delivers a must-have, high ROI by providing complete visibility to optimize how accounting firms are managed and to automate their service delivery workflows with AI.”

With this funding, Qount is poised to further refine its AI-driven automation tools, making accounting and tax management more efficient and accessible.
The newly raised capital will be used to enhance Qount’s AI-powered practice management solutions. The company aims to further develop automation features that optimize workflow processes for tax and accounting professionals, reducing manual effort and improving accuracy.
Qount also plans to expand its market reach, targeting more mid-sized and large accounting firms that can benefit from scalable, AI-driven solutions. This expansion aligns with its broader vision to simplify and standardize accounting workflows through intelligent automation.
As part of its strategic expansion, Qount has appointed Peter Miele as CEO. With over two decades of experience in SaaS, Miele was previously VP of Sales at SurePrep, a tax automation company that was acquired by Thomson Reuters for $500M. His leadership will be instrumental in scaling Qount’s business and driving innovation.
“The future of accounting is technology that empowers professionals and transforms how firms operate, adapt, and grow.”

Additionally, Greg Pope, former VP of Marketing at SurePrep, has joined Qount as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). With over 25 years of experience in tax and accounting, Pope will focus on strengthening Qount’s brand, digital marketing efforts, and customer engagement.
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Plano, TX, Qount provides AI-driven practice management software for accounting professionals. The platform consolidates various tools into a single solution, making tax and accounting workflows more efficient and automated.
The company was founded by Uday Koorella and Phani Ilapakurty, both of whom have extensive experience in accounting technology and software development. Their vision was to build a platform that integrates all essential accounting tools into one seamless system.
With the latest investment, Qount is doubling down on AI to eliminate repetitive manual tasks, improve collaboration, and optimize workflows. The company’s focus on automation and intelligent data processing sets it apart in the industry, helping accounting firms enhance productivity while reducing operational overhead.
Savant Growth has a strong track record of investing in bootstrapped, founder-led B2B SaaS companies that leverage AI and automation to drive efficiency. Their involvement in Qount underscores the firm’s confidence in the growing demand for AI-driven accounting solutions.
Kennet Partners is known for investing in high-growth technology companies and has supported multiple successful exits in the SaaS space. Their participation further validates Qount’s potential for scaling its AI-powered offerings.
As part of the investment, Javier Rojas, Olivier Verhage, and Peter Miele will join Qount’s Board of Directors, ensuring strategic guidance and long-term growth.
