Mobile Pathways, a tech nonprofit dedicated to ensuring fair access to justice for immigrants, has raised $1 million in a philanthropic funding round. Backed by AlleyCorp, Fast Forward, Firedoll Foundation, and GitLab Foundation, this infusion of support will fuel the ongoing development of the organization’s AI-powered platform, Pathfinder.
Unlike a traditional Series A or Series B, this philanthropic round emphasizes mission-driven objectives rather than equity-based investment.
The number of asylum seekers in the United States has tripled since 2022, reflecting an urgent need for legal support and employment opportunities. Mobile Pathways’ tools address these challenges by delivering timely alerts, up-to-date legal information, and data-driven insights to immigration attorneys and nonprofit advocates alike.

Mobile Pathways will channel the new funding into enhancing Pathfinder’s AI-driven capabilities, including the integration of real-time data from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to streamline the work authorization process.
By automating critical status alerts and consolidating vital case information, the platform aims to reduce administrative bottlenecks for legal representatives and nonprofit organizations.
Most importantly, nonprofits working with asylum seekers will soon be able to access Pathfinder’s case history reports at no cost. This added feature is a direct response to the mounting case backlogs and the pressing need for accessible, reliable legal information in underserved communities.
