CodeAnt AI has raised $2 million in seed funding to bring automated code reviews to engineering teams under pressure to ship faster. The round, which marks the company’s first institutional investment, puts its valuation at $20 million.

The funding was led by Y Combinator, with participation from VitalStage Ventures, Uncorrelated Ventures, DeVC, Transpose Platform, Entrepreneur First, and a group of prominent angel investors.

Tackling the Bottleneck in AI-Powered Development

While AI helps developers generate code faster, the review process has become a major bottleneck. CodeAnt AI addresses this by automating reviews, offering instant, intelligent feedback directly within platforms like GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps.

“As AI-driven coding becomes widespread, the real bottleneck isn't writing code — it's reviewing it,” said Amartya Jha, Co-founder and CEO. Most bugs and vulnerabilities, he explained, slip through during peer reviews that are often delayed or lack context.

Scaling the Platform and Team

The company will use the funding to expand its engineering and business development teams and enhance its AI-powered review platform. The goal is to help developers ship faster without sacrificing quality or security.

In practical terms, this means deeper integrations, support for more languages, and flexible deployment options—including on-premise installations for security-conscious organizations.

How CodeAnt AI Works

The platform scans code in real time, flags issues, and offers fixes that can be applied with one click. It works across 30+ languages and reduces code review sessions from hours to minutes.

Customers say the product is already proving its worth. “We now have a new team member: CodeAnt AI. It sees our entire codebase in seconds… the whole team adopted it instantly,” said Michel Naud, Head of IT Solutions at Autajon Group. At Motorq, tech lead Sundaraman Venkataramani praised the tool’s ability to support fast-moving teams while improving code quality and security.

Built by Engineers, for Engineers

Founded by Amartya Jha and Chinmay Bharti, the duo came at the problem from different angles—Jha from experience scaling systems at Zeta and ShareChat, and Bharti from his background in AI and building trading platforms at Blu Analytics.

The two built a proprietary language-agnostic AST engine that maps how code components relate across an entire codebase. This, combined with integrations of external security databases and customizable company policies, sets CodeAnt AI apart.

Investor Confidence Grows

Investors see CodeAnt AI as a solution to a growing challenge in software development. “CodeAnt’s platform slashes review time by over 50%, ensuring speed and reliability at scale,” said Brian Shin, Managing Partner at VitalStage Ventures.

Other backers echoed this sentiment. “CodeAnt delivers clean, consistent, and reliable code while speeding up reviews,” added Salil Deshpande from Uncorrelated Ventures. Aakash Kumar, General Partner at DeVC, noted that engineering leaders are already adopting the product enthusiastically.

Transpose Platform’s Alex Bangash added: “They’re automating the mundane while keeping humans in the loop—a balance that’s essential in the future of software engineering.”
