Kickscale has raised €2.1 million in a new funding round to accelerate the development of its AI-powered revenue intelligence platform. The round was led by aws Gründungsfonds and joined by altitudeVC, Calm/Storm Ventures, and Carinthian Venture Fund. Existing backers including Julius Göllner (former CEO of Zalando Lounge), Michael Kamleitner, and Bitmovin co-founders Stefan Lederer and Christopher Mueller also participated.

Founded in Austria, Kickscale is positioning itself as a European-native alternative to U.S.-built platforms like Gong and Salesforce, which often fall short of addressing the unique needs of European SMEs. Since launching its current solution in 2024, the company has acquired over 100 B2B clients across Europe and Japan.

A Platform Designed for European Business Culture

Kickscale is building a sales intelligence solution tailored for the multilingual, relationship-driven, and privacy-conscious European market. The company uses AI to analyze real and virtual sales conversations, enabling teams to better forecast revenue, detect deal risks, and scale successful strategies.

"We've looked into several US-based platforms, but it felt like they were built for a different business culture and mostly for big enterprises. Their approach simply didn't match how we build and maintain client relationships in the DACH region and in Europe in general."

Hans Christian Heinemeyer, CRO of bookingkit

Clients report substantial gains: a 24% boost in closing rates and an average of 40 hours saved per sales rep on routine tasks. In Japan, Kickscale has also proven effective, handling Japanese-language conversations with high accuracy and aligning better with local expectations than global counterparts.

Fueling Expansion and Innovation

With this funding, Kickscale plans to accelerate product innovation, AI development, marketing, and sales efforts. Expansion into additional international markets, including the Middle East and further into Asia, is also on the roadmap.

"We are building the next-gen European Sales Intelligence Platform with our €2.1M funding round to accelerate AI innovation, product, marketing, and sales. Our customers will benefit from even more value we are going to provide over the next couple of months."

Gerald Zankl, CEO & Co-Founder of Kickscale

The company is especially focused on helping revenue teams increase efficiency and clarity by reducing time spent on manual updates and aligning sales, marketing, and product efforts through data-driven insights.

Tackling Productivity Gaps in Sales Teams

According to industry estimates, nearly two-thirds of a sales rep’s time is still consumed by non-selling tasks. Kickscale aims to address this by automating routine processes like CRM updates and email follow-ups. It also enables better coaching by giving managers data from real customer interactions, rather than relying on anecdotes.

Sales reps using Kickscale benefit from features like automated note-taking, key moment detection, and performance tracking, leading to more consistent messaging, better forecasting, and more effective scaling.

Founded by Experienced Tech Operators

Kickscale was founded by Gerald Zankl, Markus Jenul, Fabian Riedlsperger, and Herwig Gangl—a team with a background in scaling tech companies across Europe. Their prior roles at Bitmovin, Anyline, and Holo-Light contributed to a combined valuation exceeding $500 million.

Originally founded in 2020, Kickscale successfully pivoted to its current offering in 2024. It operates with teams based in Klagenfurt and Graz and has been funded by a mix of self-financing, government support, and strategic angel investment.

The company's unique positioning focuses on understanding regional business cultures, multilingual capabilities, and strict data privacy compliance—all while helping SMEs gain visibility into their sales pipeline.

Backed by Regional and Strategic Investors

The round was led by aws Gründungsfonds, which supports startups through growth and later-stage financing rounds. Other key investors include āltitudeVC, Calm/Storm Ventures (Europe's most active HealthTech investor), and Carinthian Venture Fund, which invests in high-growth startups with strong regional ties.

"Our investment in Kickscale reflects our confidence in the team’s vision to build Europe’s most valuable conversation-data engine."

Ingo Drexler, Partner at āltitude and Kickscale investor
