Dream, an AI company specializing in cybersecurity for nations and critical infrastructure, has raised $100 million in a Series B round led by Bain Capital Ventures. The company’s valuation now stands at $1.1 billion, and additional investors include Group 11, Tru Arrow, Tau Capital, and Aleph. Dream’s leadership views this funding as a key step in transforming cyber defense strategies around the globe.
In just two years, the founders—Sebastian Kurz (former Prime Minister of Austria), Shalev Hulio (serial entrepreneur and former founder of NSO Group), and cyber expert Gil Dolev—have propelled Dream into vital partnerships with government entities.
Their mission: protect nations that face increasingly sophisticated attacks threatening core infrastructure and public safety.
Cybersecurity is emerging as a pressing issue for governments juggling a complex mix of legacy systems, cloud environments, and hybrid architectures. Explosive amounts of security data and increasingly AI-driven threats mean traditional defenses often leave blind spots.
“Sophisticated cyber-attacks on our critical infrastructure are increasing in both prevalence and complexity. During my time as Prime Minister I saw firsthand how these attacks can cause real human damage, and have the capacity to disrupt society at large. By founding Dream, we are on a mission to empower nations against what is the defining national security concern of our era.”
Sebastian Kurz, co-founder and President of Dream
Dream addresses these vulnerabilities by developing proprietary AI models that think like both defenders and attackers. This includes advanced posture management and AI-based predictive detection, designed to preempt threats before they can infiltrate essential systems.
The new capital will help Dream enhance its AI-driven cybersecurity suite while expanding to additional regions where cyber risks pose serious national security challenges. These resources also accelerate the development of Dream’s Cyber Language Model (CLM), a specialized family of language models trained specifically for cybersecurity operations.
By understanding code, logs, and threat intelligence, the CLM automates complex security tasks that typically require expert human intervention.
With Dream’s approach, organizations can rapidly assess their networks and vulnerabilities—often with minimal setup—thereby reducing the likelihood of a successful nation-state attack.
Dream’s current sales, exceeding $130 million annually in 2024, demonstrate growing demand for scalable AI-driven defenses. Future plans include further tailoring Dream’s solutions for government agencies worldwide, ensuring faster and more comprehensive protection.
Dream was established in January 2023 by a seasoned team committed to safeguarding nations through intelligent cybersecurity. Sebastian Kurz, former Prime Minister of Austria, brings firsthand government experience. Shalev Hulio, a serial entrepreneur recognized for his previous ventures, provides deep insights into advanced security solutions. Gil Dolev, a cyber expert, completes the leadership trio by driving technical innovation.
“Never before has a company been founded with the primary mission of providing national cybersecurity protection for a country or a government. We founded Dream to deliver a solution that truly works for nations, specifically because it was designed with their needs in mind.”

This blend of political acumen, entrepreneurial expertise, and cyber intelligence sets Dream apart in tackling urgent cybersecurity challenges that transcend borders.
The round’s lead investor, Bain Capital Ventures, is joined by Group 11, Tru Arrow, Tau Capital, and Aleph. Enrique Salem, partner at Bain Capital Ventures and former CEO of Symantec, will join Dream’s Board of Directors alongside MG. (Res.) Shlomo Yanai, former CEO of Teva Pharmaceuticals.
“The Dream team has a proven track record of developing industry-leading security products and providing them to the most sophisticated customers, government leaders, as well as leading nation states. Dream’s rapid growth in such a short time is a testament to their expertise, and I can’t think of a better team to solve the fundamental problem of incomplete visibility and too many alerts.”

Existing board members include Dovi Frances, Michael Eisenberg, and Dream’s founders. With this investment, Dream advances its goal to become a trusted global partner in safeguarding nations from next-generation cyber threats.
